Alibaba allocates US$30 mln for overseas marketing
Alibaba is seeking collaboration opportunities with companies in the U.S., including Yahoo, Microsoft, Google, Apple, eBay, Starbucks and General Electric, and hopes to reach some cooperation pattern with them.
Ma said Alibaba will conduct in-depth conversation with two or three of the companies mentioned. The cooperation will help Alibaba expand in the U.S., a place where the company has a B2B platform with one million users.
Although no agreements have been reached between Alibaba and its potential partners, Ma added that the cooperation will help the American enterprises expand their business in China through the platform provided by Alibaba rather than relying on the Chinese foreign trade companies.
