Choosing An e-Commerce Package For Your Home Business

By: Neil Ellis

Recovering from the dot com crash in 2000, e-commerce is rising once again. Stay in the comfort of your home. Spend more time with your family. Be your own boss. The benefits of having a home business are numerous. That is why so many people are trying to run their own home business. Being enthusiastic about igniting their own income through the Internet, these people search to find how they can create their own business. Then they realize that there are so many options for them to choose from. So, what is the best e-commerce package for you? When it comes to e-commerce packages, most online merchants
have the same basic needs. The trick is to make sure an e-commerce package satisfies your needs. Causing less frustration, you should also try to find something that will be easy to use.

Some important things to look for in an e-commerce package are:

1. Choose a provider that will give you a site and hosting combo.

Choosing a provider that helps you set up a site and hosts it for you can save you from a lot of frustration. By choosing a websiteand hosting combination, you are guaranteed that your e-commerce package will not have to be manually altered.

2. A wide variety of templates

While all templates can be customized, sometimes that just does not work for every business. If there is a large amount of templates to choose from, there is bound to be template for your business.

3. Payments

You need to make sure that the payment options that your e-commerce package uses will satisfy your customers needs. For example if your e-commerce package only accepts Paypal, you will miss out on the customers that do not use Paypal. This will decrease your earnings. As a matter of interest many people have now been left stuck due to the fact that many traders do not accept 'stormpay' as a means of payment. This is just one of many scenarios to consider.

4. Shopping Cart

Most people like to see what they are purchasing. Customers may also want to change what they want to buy. Perhaps they found something better. A shopping cart also adds to the whole 'experience' of shopping online, if you choose an exciting package that your customers will get excited about then they are likely to buy more from you.

5. Calculation of tax and shipping

Probably one of the most important points to take note of. You dont want a business up and running only to find out you owe the tax man a large tax bill!!

The above are just a guide on choosing the right package for you. Do some homework on before you purchase and have a list of the items you need included in the package. If possible try to find somebody with a similar goal to your own and ask for advice. But most off all, have fun! Buying a package for your business is an adventure, or maybe a new lease of life for an old business so think of the future and good luck!

How Podcasts Can Help Your Online Business

By: Brandon Hong

Podcasts has evolved from being just a hobby for the music enthusiasts to a serious marketing tool adopted by large multinational corporations.

In fact, it's evolution and transformation is tied closely to that of blogs. The reason is because podcastsis basically just an audio mp3 file which is distributed using Rss feeds.

Think of podcasts as your different radio channels. You can tune in to a classical channel, or rock channel or jazz channel and so on.

Initially the use of podcastwas mainly done by musicenthusiasts and hobbyists who wanted to share music files and audio with others.

Just like blogs when podcast first came onto the scene, podcast was thought of nothing more than some form of fun hobby or activity. It was not long, before companies realized the potential of podcasts
in:

- building client relationship,
- branding,
- getting their message out there
- syndicating their content and ultimately
advertisingtheir services and products through the use of Rss feeds, which was in-built into blogs

As can be seen, what started as a simple form of fun hobby soon evolved into a powerful marketingweapon. Podcasts is not just for the music enthusiasts anymore.

Companies and businesses understand the power of podcast and how podcast can help their
business.

For example:

1. Companies like General Motors and Microsoft, create podcasts that combine information and product news for people who may be interested, such as investors, car, computer buffs or industry analysts.

2. News channels, like CNN, put their headlines and some of the brief news stories into a podcasts format.

3. Radio stations have turned some of their programs into podcasts which they upload daily and make available to people who might enjoy the program but are unable to listen to it when it is initially broadcast over the airwave.

4. Museums, art galleries, and historical sites create broadcasts for users to listen to as they walk through, replacing the human guide that would do tours, and allowing an individual with a personal audio player to go through at their own pace.

5. The director of the sci-fi television show “Battlestar Galactica” creates a regular
podcast to tell subscribers about the behind-the-scenes effort to make the show.

Why do you think these large multi-national companies bother to create podcasts? Obviously it helps them with their business and bottomline!

Let's take a look again at how podcast or podcastingcan help your online business.

1. Podcast can grow, expand and multiply your business.

Podcast uses Rss feeds and with the explosion in the use of Rss feeds, this means you can submit your Podcast to many podcast directories.

Just like the way a listener tunes in to a particular radio channel, podcast listeners and subscribers will look for a specific niche podcast to subscribe to.

This means you can reach out to new market and new consumer you otherwise would normally not be able to do with traditional forms of business advertisingand promotion.

2. Flexibility and repeat advertising

Podcast, being essentially and audio file, offers consumers choice, convenience and flexibility. With the proliferation of mp3 players, your podcast can be downloaded, stored in an mp3 player and listen to over and over again.

Think about how much it would cost you to repeat an advert? With podcasts, it's totally free.

3. Ready market, to the tune of millions waiting to be tapped.

Recent years have seen the gigantic and exponential growth of audio mp3 device players, especially Apple's iPod. There are millions of loyal iPodtotting fans out there. They are constantly searching for audios to download. You can serve these lucrative niche markets by offering niche podcasts.

These are just some of the many examples how podcast and podcastingcan help your online business.

With such a big potential and the technology being in it's early unsaturated stage, this is truly the best time to leverage on podcasting technology to grow and multiply your online business.

The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly Of Ebusiness

By: Deanna Mascle

While many people are already experiencing the joy and tribulation involved in running their own internet business, many others are considering going into business on the internet.

If you are considering starting your own internet business then you need to consider the good, the bad, and the ugly truths of ebusiness.

What is good about internet business? Probably the single greatest benefit of ebusiness can be summed up in one word -- opportunity. There are numerous opportunities to start a business, buy a business, and grow a business on the internet. There are also many opportunities to learn everything you need about doing business on the internet from blogsand newsletters, articles, ebooks, and forums.

What is bad about internet business? The prevailing myth that you can get rich quick on the internet. Yes, there are many people making millions off their internet businesses and some people even manage those staggering sales numbers they use for their sales pitch. But the real, cold, hard truth is that it takes time to learn how to do business on the internet and it takes time to be a success on the internet. Once you have done your groundwork then you may well also achieve those amazing financial results, but many people give up long before and miss out on their opportunities.

What is ugly about internet business? The simple fact that scams abound. So many people buy into the myth of the internet get-rich-quick-scheme they are willing to put down hundreds, even thousands, of dollars to buy into the dream. Many of the people touting these "successful" programs are not actually rich or successful themselves. In fact, their only income is generated by scamming newcomers.

So how do you embrace the good, avoid the bad, and ignore the ugly?

First you must explore your opportunities. Remember that the internet really is the information superhighway. Study and learn and question -- and continue to do all three even after you have started your own business and even after you have made your first million.

Second remind yourself, daily if necessary, that no one gets rich quick on the internet but that millions are there for the making if you only put in your time and learn. Doing business on the internet is much like the tortoise and the hare. Slow and steady wins the race every time.

Third do not sign up for any scheme, program, or partnership that involves sharing your credit card information until you have thoroughly studied the situation from all angles. There are reputable and worthy opportunities that might involve a fee, but if they are worthwhile and reputable then they will not expire in 24 hours, there will ample freely available material to study, and you will see evidence of the program's success.

Don't let all that is ugly and bad overshadow the true good that can be accomplished on the internet. You can start your own business, you can make it successful, and you can make it lucrative -- and it doesn't need to cost you anything but time and ingenuity. That is what is truly amazing about doing business on the internet.

Want To Make A Killing Online? :b2b links

By: Dan Enlow

I'm going to share with you the most powerful ways to create wealth on the internet today. After reviewing many business opportunities on the internet I have only found this one that gives you the power to leverage your time like mlms but is not a mlm. (DISCLAIMER: No, i'm not bashing mlms. Yes, I am involved with a mlm myself. I believe they are a great way to make additional income in the long term and I know many people that have become successful in this industry.)

This program I have found is called 1StepSystem. It was created by Chris Koehl and Rod Stinson. Rod is rated one of the top 20 network marketers in the world! Very super guy and extremely helpful. Like I said it is not mlm...it is a 2-up system, which means you pass up 2 training sales to your sponsor before you start making commission off the product.

What is the product?
The product is called "Ultimate Marketer's Toolbox". This product includes various marketingtools that will help teach you internet marketing. It has 57 audio CDs, 3 software titles, and 8 manuals! Keep in mind too...it is constantly being added to! Find that anywhere else with a product. The retail value of the "Ultimate Marketer's Toolbox" is $2,600. Wow...you might be thinking...that's a lot of money! I thought the same thing until I found out that it only costs $597! I was amazed as you probably are right now.

How do I make money with this?
You get to make a commission off the sales you do for the "Ultimate Marketer's Toolbox". I know, I know...how much commission do you make off the product sale? You're thinking probably like 10-15%, right? WRONG! I was also amazed at the commission percentage...83% of the product sale goes to you. That's $500 in your pocket! That just makes the whole thing worth while, doesn't it?

What's this 2-up system?
It might sound complicated but it really isn't at all. Once you purchase the "Ultimate Marketer's Toolbox" and decide to market it you will be considered a Marketing Associate. What that means is you make 2 training sales that are passed up to your sponsor, so your sponsor will make $500 from each sale. You might be thinking that doesn't sound very good...it is very good let me explain more. At that point you will be a Qualified Associate which basically means you get the $500 commission off every sale you make.
Let's show you an example: Let's say Bill has made his 2 training sales and is now a Qualified Associate. He then makes 2 sales, one to Amy and one to Michael. Amy and Michael are both Marketing Associates now. Amy and Michael both make their 2 training sales so Bill makes $2000 and Amy and Michael now can both start making commissions and Bill doesn't make anymore from them. But Amy and Michael's 2 training sales they made are passed up to Bill so Bill can make commissions off of the 4 training sales. See, how that can grow and grow and make you extremely wealthy?

Reading through that you probably are starting to realize why this program is so powerful and a lot of money is to be made. The question is.....are you going to take your piece of that "money pie"? People see how they can make $500 commission and they think "Oh wow, I can make $500!" I'm here to tell you it is a lot more powerful than that BUT it does involve actual work! It isn't get rich quick. It isn't magical money that flows in once you sign up without doing work. Yes...there is 1 step, but you must do that 1 step in order to be successful. This will show you how to get wealthy right!

Want more information about 1StepSystem? I found a FREE eBookon it that you can download and check out. It also shows various methods used to drive traffic to your 1StepSystem site.
